Hailey Bajzar | Doctor of Acupuncture

Hailey Bajzar

Hailey is a licensed Doctor of Acupuncture with a thoughtful, research-informed approach to wellness and recovery. She holds a degree in Acupuncture from MacEwan University, along with degrees in Education and Kinesiology from the University of Alberta, bringing a strong foundation in clinical care, movement science, and patient education to her work. Her practice focuses on how acupuncture can support the body’s physiological response to stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.

Her approach is grounded in the understanding that chronic stress, anxiety, and trauma can gradually shift a person’s physical baseline. Over time, the body may begin to hold more tension, sleep less deeply, and remain in a heightened state of alertness, making it easier to feel overwhelmed by even everyday stressors. Through acupuncture, Hailey works to help calm the nervous system, reduce physical tension, and support the body in moving toward a more regulated and restorative state.

As part of a trauma-focused clinic, Hailey offers acupuncture in a way that is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed. This means care is provided with attention to nervous system sensitivity, clear communication, informed consent, and each person’s comfort level throughout treatment. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she recognizes that symptoms such as tension, restlessness, poor sleep, and pain may be closely connected to chronic stress or trauma, and she tailors treatment accordingly.

For those who are new to acupuncture or unsure about needles, Hailey takes a supportive and respectful approach, and many people are surprised by how comfortable treatment feels. The needles used in acupuncture are extremely fine and are typically very well tolerated.

Hailey views acupuncture as part of a broader, integrated approach to healing and believes it can work well alongside psychotherapy and other therapeutic supports. She is passionate about patient education and takes care to help clients understand the rationale behind treatment so they feel informed, comfortable, and involved in their care.
