Registered or Provisional Psychologist
Glenora, Edmonton
Independent Contractor | Part-Time with Growth Potential
Compensation: $100–$140 per clinical hour, depending on registration status, experience, training, clinical fit, and caseload development.
Genovese Trauma & PTSD Recovery is a boutique, trauma-focused private practice in Edmonton’s Glenora neighbourhood. We specialize in evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, occupational trauma, anxiety, and related concerns.
We are currently seeking a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist to join the practice as an independent contractor. Exceptional Registered Clinical Social Workers with advanced trauma-focused training and significant clinical experience may also be considered.
This opportunity is well suited to a clinician who wants to build a thoughtful, consistent private practice within a specialized setting that values clinical depth, professionalism, ethical care, and whole-person trauma recovery.
The Role
This is an independent contractor psychologist role in Edmonton designed for clinicians who are interested in building and sustaining their own caseload within an established private practice.
The role is:
- Part-time to start with the opportunity to expand as referrals, fit, and consistency develop.
- Primarily in-person at the Glenora clinic, with virtual sessions incorporated as appropriate.
Clinical Fit
While trauma is central to the clinic’s identity, we are especially interested in clinicians who bring a complementary area of expertise that expands the depth of care available to clients.
Areas of alignment may include:
- Trauma-focused therapy
- EMDR, CPT, PE, or other evidence-based trauma treatments
- Trauma-informed couples or relational therapy
- OCD and anxiety disorders
- Insomnia and sleep-related concerns
- Sexual health and intimacy within a trauma-informed framework
- Men’s mental health
- Attachment-based therapy
- Somatic or nervous-system-informed approaches
- Chronic stress, burnout, or complex clinical presentations
The ideal clinician is warm, grounded, ethical, self-motivated, and interested in developing a consistent, long-term presence within a high-standard private practice environment.
This role is likely not the best fit for someone seeking a high-volume, highly generalized, or fully virtual practice with minimal connection to the clinic environment.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- A Master’s degree, at minimum, in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Registration as a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist in Alberta
- For social work applicants: registration as a Registered Clinical Social Worker with ACSW and advanced trauma-focused training
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, evidence-based care
- Additional training in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, or related trauma treatment modalities is strongly preferred
- Experience working with complex or layered clinical presentations
- Strong ethical standards, professional boundaries, and respect for client confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive clinical environment
Apply
Please submit your CV and a brief statement of interest outlining your clinical approach, areas of focus, and interest in working within a trauma-focused and integrated care setting.
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to provide proof of registration and good standing with their regulatory body.
Applications can be sent through the online form.
Registered Massage Therapist
Glenora, Edmonton
Independent Contractor | Part-Time with Growth Potential
Compensation: $70–$78 per clinical hour, based on experience, training, trauma-informed or myofascial treatment background, clinical fit, and caseload development.
Genovese Trauma & PTSD Recovery is a boutique, trauma-focused private practice located in Edmonton’s Glenora neighbourhood. We specialize in evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, occupational trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and related concerns.
We are currently seeking a Registered Massage Therapist to join our integrated trauma recovery clinic as an independent contractor. This opportunity is best suited to an RMT who is interested in trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware bodywork and who wants to build a thoughtful, consistent practice within a calm, professional, and clinically grounded setting.
Our integrated model includes psychotherapy, trauma-informed massage therapy, and acupuncture, with trauma-informed yoga programming also in development. The goal is not simply to offer multiple services under one roof, but to support whole-person recovery by addressing the mind, body, and nervous system in a coordinated and respectful way.
The Role
This is an independent contractor massage therapy role in Edmonton designed for a Registered Massage Therapist who is interested in building and sustaining a stable, part-time caseload within an established integrated care clinic.
This role is intended for a therapist who wants to develop a consistent presence within the clinic over time. We are looking for someone who values continuity of care, professional integrity, and long-term fit within the clinic’s integrated model.
The role is:
- Part time with the potential to grow
- Designed to grow over time based on consistency, fit, client retention, and clinic demand
- Ideal for an RMT interested in trauma-informed care, myofascial treatment, nervous system regulation, chronic stress, and complex client presentations
Clinical Fit
We are especially interested in an RMT whose work is grounded in trauma-informed care, nervous-system-aware bodywork, and evidence-informed massage therapy.
Areas of alignment may include:
- Trauma-informed massage therapy
- Myofascial therapy or myofascial release
- Gentle therapeutic massage or Swedish-style relaxation massage
- Nervous-system-informed bodywork
- Pain-informed and stress-informed massage therapy
- Chronic tension and stress-related physical symptoms
- Somatic awareness, grounding, and body-based regulation
- Experience supporting clients with anxiety, PTSD, occupational trauma, chronic stress, or complex presentations
Massage therapy is not positioned as a stand-alone treatment for PTSD. Rather, it is offered as part of an integrated model of care that may support nervous system regulation, body awareness, chronic tension, pain, sleep, stress physiology, and whole-body recovery.
The ideal therapist is warm, professional, grounded, consent-focused, and comfortable adapting pressure, pacing, positioning, and communication to support clients who may feel guarded, activated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their bodies.
The ideal therapist is also interested in building a stable, part-time practice within Genovese Trauma & PTSD Recovery and understands the importance of continuity, trust, and long-term client care.
This role is best suited to an RMT who is looking for a slower-paced, clinically thoughtful environment where they can build a stable part-time presence over time. Therapists seeking a high-volume or primarily spa-based setting may find that a different practice environment is a better fit.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Completion of a recognized massage therapy program
- Minimum 2,200-hour massage therapy diploma required
- Additional post-secondary education preferred
- Active registration and good standing with a recognized massage therapy association in Alberta
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong understanding of consent, boundaries, client communication, and trauma-informed care
- Interest in working with clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, tension, pain, or nervous-system activation
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive integrated care environment
- Excellent professionalism, reliability, and communication skills
Additional training in trauma-informed care, myofascial therapy, pain science, somatic approaches, or nervous-system-focused treatment is considered an asset.
Apply
Please submit your CV (including any additional training/certifications) and a brief statement of interest outlining your approach to massage therapy, trauma-informed care, and your interest in working within an integrated trauma recovery clinic.
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to provide proof of registration, liability insurance, and good standing with their professional association.
Applications can be sent through our online form.
