WCB Psychological Services

Psychological Support for Workplace Injuries and Trauma

Experiencing an injury or traumatic incident at work can affect more than just your physical health. The psychological impact—like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress—can be just as challenging to manage as physical recovery.

Maddalena Genovese provides specialized support for individuals with active WCB claims. She focuses on both your psychological recovery and helps you navigate the paperwork involved in your WCB treatment, ensuring you receive the care you need.

Psychology Support For Workplace Injuries

If you’ve experienced a physical injury or a traumatic incident at work that has affected your mental well-being, I offer evidence-based psychological services tailored to your unique situation.

Psychological impacts of workplace injuries may include:

  • Anxiety about returning to work or performing certain tasks

  • Depression related to pain, limited function, or changes in identity

  • Post-traumatic stress reactions to workplace accidents or incidents

  • Sleep disturbances that affect recovery and overall well-being

  • Relationship challenges stemming from your injury or the workplace incident

As each person's experience is unique, I draw on proven therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and resilience, tailoring them to best fit your needs.

Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments

If you’ve experienced a workplace accident or incident that has resulted in post-traumatic stress symptoms, I offer specialized treatments such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. These approaches are effective in helping reduce the impact of traumatic memories and restoring your sense of safety and control.

Expertly Navigating WCB

I understand that dealing with both your recovery and the WCB system can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m here to help guide you through the process. I assist with completing WCB paperwork, including required psychological assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.

With years of experience working with WCB clients, I’m committed to ensuring you can focus on your healing while I handle the administrative side of your claim.
